We blew it
We played in a futsal tournament last Sunday (STF 50th Anniversary Celebrations). We were the 2nd oldest team on that day. We aimed high but we "warmed" up too late to qualify for the quarter-finals. Thank God we were not last in our group.
As usual, we were the only "hot-headed" team. We argued (and disputed on the goals allowed against us) a lot with the ref and we received plenty yellow cards for our crunching tackles and fouls (robust but not dirty, ok). Yours truly received 2 warnings from the ref for making sliding tackles (wot? Goalies not allowed to do that?).
Anyway, it was fun. After the game we lepaked not with other players from my oldskool (the younger batches) but with the STAR 98 team (they were in our group and a friendly bunch...cheers guys). They were 1st runners-up at the end of the tournament.
Me? I came out with a sprained wrist trying to save goal. Manyak sakit wohhh
p/s Will be off radar until Sunday (no internet access again).
