RUBY TUESDAY
She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don't matter if it's gone
While the sun is bright
Or in the darkest night
No one knows
She comes and goes
Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you...
Don't question why she needs to be so free
She'll tell you it's the only way to be
She just can't be chained
To a life where nothing's gained
And nothing's lost
At such a cost
There's no time to lose,
I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
Dying all the time
Lose your dreams
And you will lose your mind.
Ain't life unkind?
Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you...
Yesterday don't matter if it's gone
While the sun is bright
Or in the darkest night
No one knows

Missing you
I have been dreaming of her lately.
I miss her.
I miss her beauty.
She looks so beautiful in her red dress. Always wanting my attention. I miss giving her my TLC.
Nothing can replace her....but one day I will have to find a replacement, to fill the missing years.

Old Skool Annual Dinner 2005 (26 Nov 2005) -100 years celebration
This is the second time I attended the old skool annual dinner since I left in 1986. The last time I went was in 1994. Back then it was RM100 per shot. Now RM250. Gila punya mahal. Kalau makan kat mamak tah berapa banyak kali dah kenyang.
For both dinners I went for free (typical of me..heh heh). Last time was sponsored by my bank, this time sponsored by my friend whose company bought two main tables behind the Rulers.
Typical of the old skool dinner, usually they would have some skits making parody of the Rulers, the politicians etc etc. I guess we are the only ones who could make fun of the Rulers and still get away with it. Typical Melayu, lepas show mesti minta maaf kat depa kan?

Kedek, one of my batchmate, acting as a cabaret girl. Gynae by profession.
The King and the Sultans of NS, Kedah and Raja Muda Perak (He's also on the Board of Governors for the old skool) attended the function. So did DS Anwar Ibrahim, he came at the last minute.
Venue for this year : KL Convention Centre. At last, enough space to cater for everyone.

Proof the event was held there. Karang korang tak caya lak.

Menu a bit blur. Sorry aaa. Malay food. So so la.

Presentation wise ok la.
Official function ended by midnight and it was time to renew old acquaintances, networking and forge alliances. What do you expect when you have corporate figures around. Cronyism wa cakap lu.
The 85, 86 and 87 batches congregated to a corner for our 'talk-cock" session with an odd one or two from the senior and junior batches joining in.

My batchmates : King, Amran, Mon (siapa nak audition Malaysian Idol kena pass dia dulu), Rod and me. Not in pic was Mat Pit. Only 7 of us attended

Scarf given to every old boy. Colour according to house.
By the time habis borak it was close to 2am.

What's up with people wishing good fucking morning/day or asking how the fuck are are you?
If I'm fine and dandy, I'll wish the same things to them. If I'm not, am I supposed to say I'm having a bad fucking morning/day or am I not supposed to fucking feel ok?
Sorry for all the *F* words, been up since 3.00 am trying to fucking finish my work. Ideas are not coming, my mind is blank, numb..you fucking name it.
Perhaps I can wish back to them....it's a fucking good day to die!!!!
Exactly a year ago, I put up the above post in my old blog. It's still around.
Looking back, I was angry, bitter, disillusioned etc etc.
Now, I've moved on with my life.
Note :
"a fucking good day to die!" was (and still is) my digital signature for some of e-mail services /forums that I subscribe.

Kad Kahwin
I received this in my e-mail today. Perhaps some of you may received this too. Gila punya kelakar.

A Rifleman's Creed
When I did my MBA many moons ago, I had to do a cost comparison paper between something vs something for my Production Management class. While others did the normal safe stuff, I did a comparison between a flechette and a bullet. I got a B for the paper and the Prof said I was a little bit morbid.
Back then, there wasn't any internet and I had to do research at several libraries (and ammunition factories). Well yesterday, I googled for flechette and damn, there were so much info on it. Well, not on costing part of it. Anyway, I saw this creed in one of the sites, liked it and decided to paste it for all to read.
MY RIFLE
THIS IS MY RIFLE, THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT BUT THIS ONE IS MINE.
MY RIFLE IS MY BEST FRIEND. IT IS MY LIFE. I MUST MASTER IT AS I MASTER MY LIFE. WITHOUT ME IT IS USELESS, WITHOUT MY RIFLE I AM USELESS.
MY RIFLE IS MY BEST FRIEND. IT IS MY LIFE. I MUST MASTER IT AS I MASTER MY LIFE. WITHOUT ME IT IS USELESS, WITHOUT MY RIFLE I AM USELESS.
I WILL FIRE MY RIFLE TRUE, I MUST SHOOT STRAIGHTER THAN MY ENEMY WHO IS TRYING TO KILL ME, I MUST SHOOT HIM BEFORE HE SHOOTS ME....I WILL. MY RIFLE AND MYSELF KNOW WHAT COUNTS IN WAR IS NOT THE ROUNDS WE FIRE, THE NOISE OF OUR BURST, NOR THE SMOKE WE MAKE. WE KNOW THAT IT IS HITS THAT COUNT.
WE WILL HIT...

MY RIFLE IS EVEN AS I, BECAUSE IT IS MY LIFE. THUS I WILL LEARN IT AS A BROTHER, LEARN ITS WEAKNESSES, ITS STRENGTHS, ITS PARTS, ITS ACCESSORIES, ITS SIGHTS AND ITS BARREL. I WILL EVER GUARD IT AGAINST THE RAVAGES OF WEATHER AND DAMAGE. I WILL KEEP MY RIFLE CLEAN AND READY, EVEN AS I AM CLEAN AND READY. WE WILL BECOME PART OF EACH OTHER.
WE WILL...
BEFORE GOD I SWEAR THIS CREED, MY RIFLE AND MYSELF ARE THE DEFENDERS OF MY COUNTRY, WE ARE THE MASTERS OF OUR ENEMY, WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF MY LIFE. SO BE IT, UNTIL THERE IS NO ENEMY BUT PEACE.

It's true! it's true!
| You Are an Emo Rocker! |
![]() Expressive and deep, lyrics are really your thing. That doesn't mean you don't rock out... You just rock out with meaning. For you, rock is more about connecting than grandstanding. |
Promises I don't do
I'm a very punctual person. If I have a meeting at a certain time, I'll be there beforehand. By hook or by crook I'd be there on time. If I'm running late I'll call and inform. (Lately I have to add another couple of minutes because the W202 is slow. Underpowered remember?)
Someone is pestering me to meet up. Yes, I am trying to make time to meet. However with me running around, with the office at the other side of town, it's hard for me to make a promise. I don't like to make promises that I can't keep.
I'd like to meet up at night, but I work until late and by the time I get home I kinda zonked out early. So how?
Anyway, I'll meet you when I meet you. Is it okay?
Talking about promises, Ewok, I still owe you one beryani gam. Bila?

Your Final Quiz Score: 28 right out of a possible 60
The Monkey's Final Score: 18 right out of 60
Well done, you have sent the monkey to his defeat. Your score is unquestionably higher, and thus the lowly monkey has been proven once again to be humankind's intellectual inferior. Good work, however your score does leave room for improvement. We should like to see the human dominate even more completely!

Back in Office
After nearly two weeks of R&R, time back for the SOG (same old grind).
Lotsa work in the office, checking emails, doing paperwork and blog hopping (heh heh).
Will upload the pics when I have time.
Until then,
Cheers

Cronyism
Lunch today was with a couple of my batchmates and another ex-SBP guy. All of them have a vested interest in me...they're all interested to become consultants for my environment, highway and infrastructure projects.
Me, being in a good position, have decided to promote them to the evaluation committee to be on board.
This is cronyism at its peak...heh heh

Snow
It snowed..it snowed...but in Helsingor, not in Copenhagen. Who cares right? I was right thick in the middle of it. It came during my visit to Hamlet's castle. Now please let it snow when I'm in Stockholm tomorrow.
Radio reports that the road that we used earlier had 2 accidents due to the snow.

Nak snow ke tidak
Wind speed is back to normal today. However, we have low air pressure here..which means it'll start snowing soon. We have reports coming in that the north-west of Denmark i.e. Holsterbro, Bigelund etc are under a couple inches of snow.
Please, please let it snow in Copenhagen before I leave.

Windy
Denmark's west coast are famous for their sand dunes. However, due to the strong wind, I have sand everywhere...my ears, nose, hair, clothes, shoes, any nook and cranny on my body, you name it. Since the size of the sand is small, below 0.3 mm (M'sia punya avg 0.8 mm), I have been chewing it a lot. Ptui!
It is only 9.15 pm now. Outside, the wind howls like crazy. I'm already bored to death coz can't do anything. You can't even walk straight.
I'm not complaining about the temperature much eventhough it is 8 C. It's not cold really. It's the wind I don't like...it makes you feel chilly.
Tomorrow I'm going up north to visit some of the viking castles. Finally some rest.
Till then.

Going..going..gone
The last three days have been really hectic for me. Letters, memos, approval papers, reports and others were completed in record time.
Saat-saat akhir ni semakin rancak pula
This will be my last posting until God knows when.
What I do know is when I come back, if I ever come back, InsyaAllah, I do not want to eat fish (any fish and maybe seafood) for a couple of weeks.
For all you know my face will look either like a trout, cod, salmon or lobster. Heh.
Maaf Zahir Batin lagi sekali.
Ta Ta for Now.

Heavy Metal Festival
It's nice to be in office at this time of celebration. There's only 3 of us in the office. Lots of work get done with no distraction or meetings to go to.
I have knac on full blast in my room and no one complaining how loud I'm playing.
The Dj must be an Iron Maiden fan. This is the third song I'm listening from the band called "The number of the beast". Earlier it was "Run to the hills" and "The trooper".
Man...I love this station.

EID
The month of Ramadhan/Syawal, no November brings out the dark side me. I’ve become sarcastic and meaner almost to everyone, except my friends. I mean, whatever or wherever I want to do or go, lantak pi apa aku nak buat kan? My parents tak kisah pun. I tak jaga tepi kain orang pun, so I expect the same from them. F**k off!
My sister
Very kepochi, busybody and whatever “ie”s that can best describe her.
She arrived from KK on the last Saturday before Eid. She saw me leaving for berbuka with friends, sibuk tanya “Nak buka mana ni?”
“KGNS”
“Dengan siapa?”
“Yang sibuk jadi Polis ni apahal?”
She was surprised by my reaction and kept quiet.
I think the Guv’nor noticed the Cold War brewing into Thermonuclear proportion. DefCon level was raised to 5 and somehow or rather managed to avert a disaster. She kept her distance from me from that moment and we celebrated Eid cordially.
My nephew
Known as BJ…my nickname for him (dulu Baby Jawe..la ni sebab dah besar sikit….jadi Budak Jawe la kan?). No disrespect for the Javanese people ok.
Everytime balik the grandparents treat him like…uwek-uwek. Man, I really want to vomit. He gets to do whatever he wants. As usual, my treatment for him is stuffing him with Cili Api. I’ve now managed to make it more subtle that even the Warden can’t trace it back to me (PM me if you need advice on the subtleness ..heh heh).
Good to say his behaviour has been exemplary whenever I’m around.
The Relatives
I gave them the Shock and Awe treatment. They came, they enjoyed the food. The moment they see me and ask for ex, I told them straight. They were shocked alright. Those who had thoughts of asking for details, I “pre-emp”ed them by saying “Nak beraya kat sini buat cara nak beraya…kalau tak boleh balik”. They were definitely awed. The warden was definitely displeased with my actions.

I became part of the permanent fixture of the hall. I was glued to the sofa. I don’t think I have watched so many Malay movie in my life. Gila kau..Sepet, Pontianak, Buli, Puteri Gunung Ledang, Gangster, Sembilu 2005, Jutawan Fakir, Gol & Gincu, Trio dan lain lain…damn, I watched all!

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri
Today is the last day of Ramadhan and tomorrow will be the start of the glorious Syawal. I would like to wish all Muslims "Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri and Maaf Zahir Batin.
p/s : I have resorted to do my postings using my mobile as my modem went kaput due to lightning recently. Donations in the form of "Duit Raya" are welcomed to fund the purchase of a new one (hopefully this time it is lightning proof). Heh heh.
I'll be in KL for the Raya week. Jemputlah saya ke rumah :P
