Futsal again
I hate playing futsal at Summit because :
1. They only have 3 pitches (not good to have a tournament there)
2. The carpet for the pitches are real thick. Makes the ball go slower, therefore you have to use a bigger size (5) to play and inflated more for it to bounce. It makes foot injury easier too.
4. The have steel plates surrounding the pitches. No side-outs etcs. Players keep banging against the wall during robust play.
We, the Arietans - Class of 86 played in a tournament there on Saturday, organised by Crotalus (the naughty ones called them koteless) - Class of 82. Almost all the teams entered had an oldskool guy playing. Among those entered (that I can remember) were Scomi, TNB, KPMG, Srimuda, Kingtho - Class of 84, Rhythm, SJ Securities and Crotalus themselves.
By the end of our 3rd match, we had 3 players crocked playing on the heavy pitch. No wonder the organisers allowed the registration of 10 players instead of the normal 8. As usual, we didn't proceed to the next level but at least we weren't last in our group.
Due to the length of the tournament, we only finished our group game by 3 pm. I had toditch postpone meeting someone because of it. That's two that I owe you.
Why is it always only after a game that you only find your body aching like hell???

On a serious note, today I finally went to see an orthopaedic specialist after postponing my supposed visit last week (didn't want to miss playing in the tournament) for the pain in my left thumb (which came about after my last tournament - the one organised by STF one month back). The specialist told me it wasn't futsal related but playing as goalie aggravated it. I have aneurysm on the thumb all this while and will have to go for a surgery to correct it. Surgery will be done this Wednesday.
Wish me luck, guys.

You'll be without a thumb!!!
